First off, I'm happy with my purchase. A lot of claims are made about them, but the only things I've noticed are better acceleration and they really do smooth out rough pavement. One thing I was a little disappointed about was the 3 unsymetrical urethane chunks left on the inside of the wheel where the mold was poured, leaving the wheels unbalanced. Other than that I really like how quiet they are. Depending on how long they last I will buy more
I've never owned a set of wheels that feel as smooth as these ones do! I can roll over a lot of things i wouldn't usually be able to (rocks, acorns, etc.), and although they are a bit slippery at first, you very quickly get used to it. I would definitely buy another set sometime!
I currently have a set of 70mm 78a Sidewinders on my 29” FLIP Church & Chong Green Room Cruiser for getting around LA & I can’t tell you HOW MANY DIFFERENT TIMES THESE WHEELS HAVE GONE RIGHT OVER/THROUGH WHAT WOULD NORMALLY PUT YOU ON YOUR FACE!!! As far as my get-around-cruiser board & longboards go I WILL NEVER SKATE ANOTHER WHEEL IN MY LIFE!!! At 33 I cant afford to break any bones anymore lol..... not to mention they feel like they roll much farther and easier than normal Wheels!!!
I got these on 10/31/16 these have fixed so many problems I have had traveling my city. The paths are really old and, broken it just cruises over everything. I have not fallen once since I got these they are so smooth it makes world of difference.
These wheels are absolutely insane but I'm a bigger guy and they feel like I'm riding on a pillow of air they are awesome and I don't know what else to say about them because I'm a newb..But whoa!!..:)
i love these wheels they make the ride so much smother and i no longer have to worry about death pebbles they are a thing of the past i strongly suggest that you buy a set of shark wheels they are amazing
JUST ORDERED ANOTHER SET OF Sharwheel SIDEWINDERS for the new longboard I just got.... I've already had them on my 27" cruiser for over a year and can honestly say I WILL NEVER SKATE ANY OTHER WHEEL IF YOU PAID ME! These things saved my life more times than I can count within the first few weeks!!!! If I had to use 1 word to describe Sharkwheel, GAME-CHANGERS!!!!
really good wheels. I received them as a replacement set because one of the wheels in my first set was defective. the customer service was AMAZING. when I first asked them about the issue with the wheel, they responded really quickly and effectively. they said they had a problem recently with the molding process to make the wheels. they explained that they had some other customers asking about the same issue, and they said I can keep my old set and they would send me a new set FREE. Zack from shark wheel was very nice and helped me sort out the problem. he even asked me what colour I wanted the set to be which is awesome. I chose the transparent green and they look and preform soo well. I could tell there were a few changes to the new wheels compared to the old ones so I could tell they made their products better. I was outside all day riding on them and I absolutely love them. they are fast, smooth, and they are a great conversation starter. the ones I got as the replacements actually looked better with my board than the blue ones. they also shipped super fast. I was checking Canada post all the time because I was so excited. once they came I was filled with joy. my friend thought they were so cool that he was going to get some himself. I gave him the blue ones and he uses them on his blue penny board and they look really cool. he was so happy. thank you Zack and everyone at shark wheel for making a happy friend and a very happy customer.
The width is increased, but the friction is decreased! The sine wave design provides three lips per wheel for superior lateral grip. When you want to slide, they break away smoothly and recover easily.
The wave pattern design allows for a thin contact patch touching the ground and therefore less friction, resulting in a quicker ride.
The alternating pattern of grooves significantly reduces hydroplaning by channeling liquid, sand or gravel out and away from the surface of the wheel, allowing for a firm contact patch with the ground.
