Cruiser Skateboard: Mini Cruiser
A compact double-kick cruiser built around versatility, maneuverability and 60mm Shark Wheel California Roll wheels.
The Mini Cruiser from Shiver Boards was designed as a multi-purpose skateboard: compact enough to stay agile, yet long enough to provide a comfortable platform for everyday cruising.
A shorter footprint makes the board easier to maneuver and transport.
Nose and tail geometry add versatility for tricks and technical riding.
California Roll wheels are designed for cruising, carving and smaller decks.
Built as a Versatile Cruiser
The double-kick design gives the rider more freedom to maneuver around obstacles and incorporate tricks into everyday riding. Kickflips, shuvits and other technical moves are possible without giving up the comfortable feel expected from a cruiser-style setup.
At 29.5 inches long and 8.5 inches wide, the Mini Cruiser sits between a compact skateboard and a larger cruiser. That makes it suitable for riders who want one board for moving around town while still retaining enough agility for park and bowl use.
The idea behind the Mini Cruiser was versatility. It combined a maneuverable double-kick deck with softer cruising wheels, creating a setup that could move between casual cruising and more active skateboard riding.
Why 60mm Shark Wheels Work for Cruisers
The original complete featured 60mm Shark Wheel California Roll wheels. This wheel size remains part of Shark Wheel's current lineup and is specifically positioned for cruising, carving and smaller skateboard decks.
Current 60mm California Roll wheels use a 78a durometer and are designed to provide a softer riding experience than traditional hard street wheels. Shark Wheel also describes the 60mm format as compatible with cruiser-style boards and smaller decks.
Cruising & Carving
A softer 60mm wheel is well suited for casual riding, neighborhood cruising and maintaining momentum over imperfect pavement.
Compact & Responsive
The smaller deck and double-kick design make this style of board more responsive than a traditional full-size longboard.
The Original Mini Cruiser Setup
The original Shiver Mini Cruiser combined 60mm Shark Wheels with Origin trucks, a Canadian maple deck and the classic Shiver nose profile.
Its deck was produced by skateboard deck maker Paul Schmitt and was intended to arrive as a complete, ready-to-ride setup.
Although that exact legacy configuration is no longer the product we would link customers to today, the overall concept remains relevant: pair a compact, maneuverable cruiser deck with softer Shark Wheels designed for everyday riding.
