With a 26-inch length, 7-inch width and 15-inch wheelbase, the Bambino was considerably smaller than a traditional longboard or full-size cruiser.

60mm California Roll Shark Wheels

The original Bambino complete came equipped with 60mm Shark Wheel California Roll wheels, along with Origin trucks and either a bamboo or Canadian maple deck depending on availability.

The 60mm California Roll remains part of Shark Wheel's current lineup. This wheel size is designed for cruising and carving and is specifically suited to smaller decks, cruiser boards and Penny-style boards.

The current 78a California Roll configuration provides a softer wheel option for riders who prioritize cruising comfort, traction and performance over imperfect pavement.

Designed for Real-World Pavement

Small cruiser boards are often used on sidewalks, streets and neighborhood paths where the riding surface is rarely perfect.

Shark Wheel's wave-shaped geometry is designed to interact differently with cracks, small debris and irregular surfaces than a traditional wheel. The current California Roll line continues to focus on cruising, carving and riding over varied terrain.

That combination made the Bambino more than simply a small deck. The 60mm Shark Wheels were an important part of the original riding concept.

The Bambino Concept Today

The original Bambino product page is no longer part of Shark Wheel's current catalog, so this article should be treated as a look at one of the earlier Shiver and Shark Wheel mini-cruiser setups rather than as a listing for a currently available board.
